Enjoy an easy, leisurely and picturesque paddle, starting from right outside our shop. Explore the calm canal waters, enjoy the unique wildlife and visit great pubs.
We provide all you need to get paddling – basic tuition, buoyancy aids and paddles are all included in the price. We also provide small dry bags (to purchase) for your valuables or kayak backrests for an additional cost. All you need is to be able to swim! (This includes all children.) Dogs are welcome in our canoes - call in advance so that we can advise. Hire for just an hour, several hours or the whole day. Booking always recommended to avoid disappointment! To book, please use our booking enquiry form - we will then check availability and confirm with you. No advance payment is required (with the exception of group bookings). Alternatively, call us on 01392 424241 but please note that we can't always get to the phone during our busy times. We have a choice of boats available: Canoes Seat 2 or 3 adults or 2 adults and 2 small children (sharing centre plank seat). Dogs are welcome in our canoes, at your own risk. There is space in the canoes for your picnic or camping gear! Kayaks Sit on top, sea kayak style, easy to use, like a large surfboard. Great fun, stable and easy for beginners - but you will get a wet bum, so wear suitable clothing or bring a change of clothes. Single kayak – for 1 person Double kayak – for 2 people Stand Up Paddleboards (SUPs) Fun and easy to use, SUPs are a fast growing trend in paddling, where you stand up with a long single blade paddle . Our sturdy inflatable boards are great fun for paddling along the canal. Wear quick dry layered clothing or wetsuits & be prepared to get wet! One person per board. Group Bookings
